Comfo Elite¨
Half-Mask Respirators
The Comfo
Elite Respirator provides protection against a variety of respiratory
hazards. The respirator uses chemical cartridges or aerosol filters,
or a combination of the two, to remove specific contaminants from
the inhaled air. The filters/cartridges are interchangeable among
most other MSA Twin-Cartridge Respirators.

Chin-Type
Gas Masks
The Chin-Type
Gas Mask provides face and respiratory protection against particulate
matter, vapors and gases by means of a lightweight, replaceable
canister. The small, oval-shaped aluminum canister and facepiece
are designed to permit downward head movement. This comfortable,
lightweight model is often chosen as an alternative to the heavier
models. The MSA Chin-Type Gas Mask is designed for respiratory
protection against a specific gas or group of gases as indicated
by canister identification. The gas mask assembly has the following
Maximum Use Conditions: Entry-100% the Permissible Exposure Level-do
not exceed the Immediately Dangerous to Life and Health (IDLH)
concentration. Escape-contaminant concentrations up to the maximum
use concentration of the gas mask (generally 5,000 ppm (0.5%)
by volume; see canister selection chart for details), providing
there is adequate oxygen (19.5% by volume) to support life. At
these upper use conditions, the service time may by extremely
short (as low as 12 minutes).

Super-Size
& Industrial-Size Gas Masks
The MSA Super-Size
and Industrial-Size Gas Masks are designed for respiratory protection
against a specific gas or group of gases, as indicated by canister
identification. The gas mask assembly has the following Maximum
Use Condition: Entry--100x the Permissible Exposure Level--do
not exceed the Immediately Dangerous to Life or Health (IDLH)
concentration. Escape--contaminant concentrations up to the maximum
use concentration of the gas mask (generally, 20,000 ppm (2%)
by volume; see canister selection chart for details), providing
there is adequate oxygen (19.5 percent by volume) to support life.
At these upper use conditions, the service time may be extremely
short (as low as 12 minutes). As indicated by its name, the Super-Size
Gas Mask has an extra-large canister which will last approximately
twice as long as the equivalent Industrial-Size Canister because
of a larger volume of chemical fill.
